Director-general of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), Prof Abubakar O. Sulaiman, has expressed his sympathies to his friend and the managing editor for Northern Operations at The Nation newspaper, Yusuf Alli, on the passing on of his mother, Hajia Hawau Odee Yusuf.

In a statement signed by deputy director of information in NILDS, Joke Akinsanmi, Sulaiman said Hajia Yusuf lived a life devoted to the service of Allah and humanity and had left a remarkable legacy through her children’s achievements.

The NILDS’ boss asked Yusuf Alli to take comfort in the fact that his mother lived a righteous life and had witnessed her children succeed in their chosen fields.

He prayed for her peaceful rest and for the Almighty Allah to grant the family the strength to cope with the loss.
