10th Speakership: Northern Group Urges Tinubu To Support Jaji 

A civil society organisation, Northern Youths for Good Leadership and Governance (NYGLG) has urged the President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to support the member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency in Zamfara State Hon Aminu Jaji to attain the position of Speaker of the 10th Assembly.

The Northern Youths said Jaji is the most competent and suitable aspirant to occupy the position.

The president, NYGLG, Comrade Labaran Abubakar disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen yesterday in Abuja.

The group said while many contenders have publicly thrown their hats into the ring, from all regions of the country, Jaji is the most competent and urged the President-elect to support him.

Abubakar stressed that he bespoke a picture of prepared leadership, tailor-made to head the 10th House of Representatives.

He said Jaji will forge friendships across tribes and religions in the country.

He stressed that Jaji is a man who exhibits uncommon bravery, yet a nuanced understanding of the challenges therein, yet single-minded visionary leadership charting a productive roadmap that will provide the zenith of people oriented legislation for the citizenry.

The group reiterated that “he is known to be at the forefront of efforts to reform Nigeria’s electoral system and has also been a vocal advocate for the rights of his constituents. He initiated several projects aimed at improving their standard of living.

“Jaji’s candidacy for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives has been endorsed by several groups and individuals across the country. They rely on his wealth of experience, integrity, and commitment to service as some of the reasons he is the best candidate for the job.

Jaji has also promised to work towards ensuring that the House of Representatives is more transparent, accountable, vibrant, and responsive to the needs and aspirations of Nigerians.

He said, “Jaji’s candidacy for the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives does not only presents a viable alternative to the current leadership, he’s also the only alternative for the Northwest region.

“His vast experience, integrity, and commitment to service make him the best candidate for the job. If elected, Jaji has promised to work towards ensuring that the House of Representatives is more transparent, accountable, and responsive to the needs of Nigerians.”

He added that Jaji possesses the diplomatic skills needed of a true democrat.
