Kogi State governor Yahaya Bello has commended workers across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s International Workers’ Day and assured Kogi workers of improved welfare.

He noted that the day provides an opportunity to recognise and appreciate the hard work, dedication, and sacrifices made by workers who form the backbone of the economy.

In his message, Bello affirmed that his administration recognises the substantial contribution of workers in various sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, and manufacturing, and credits their tireless efforts for the success of the state.

Governor Bello expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all workers in Kogi State, acknowledging their hard work, dedication, and sacrifices for the state.

Also, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated workers on the occasion of Workers’ Day celebration.

In a statement by his media office in Lokoja, the APC standard bearer assured that his administration will accord priority to the welfare of workers in the state whom he described as the engine room of every government.

According to him, “I recognise the role of workers, especially civil servants as the engine room of government at all levels and I will accord utmost priority to the welfare of workers in Kogi State if elected as governor of the state.”

Ododo who promised to interface with workers in the course of his campaign commended the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress and all the affiliate unions in the state for supporting the present administration of Governor Yahaya Bello.

Similarly, the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the November elections in Kogi State, Mr Olayinka Braimoh has congratulated the Nigerian workers on the celebration of this year’s Workers Day as he prays to God to grant the grace to all workers to enjoy the fruit of their labour in good health.

Braimoh in a press statement issued in Lokoja yesterday noted that the workers in both the public and private sectors will benefit from the wealth creation, capacity building, and infrastructure initiatives included in his manifesto and action plan.
