DC Releases Trailer For Blue Beetle

DC Superhero Comics has released live action trailer for its superhero comic ‘Blue Beetle’ on YouTube.

‘Blue Beetle’ is the story of college graduate Jaime Reyes (Xolo Mariduena) who is full of aspirations for the future returns to his hometown, to find life is not as he expected, as he is reduced to working as a pool boy.

Whilst searching for his life’s purpose, fate intervenes in the form of a old schoolmate who hands him a hamburger packet to guard with his life. When he is bitten by an alien biotechnology, Scarab, he is bestowed with an incredible suit of armour capable of extraordinary and unpredictable powers, forever changing his destiny as he becomes the superhero Blue Beetle.

A Warner Bros Pictures production, ‘Blue Beetle’ stars Cobra Kai’s Xolo Mariduena, Adriana Barraza (Rambo: Last Blood), Damian Alcazar (Narcos), George Lopez (Rio, Smurf franchises, Journey to the Center of the Earth 2), and Oscar winner, Susan Sarandon (Stepmom, Monarch).

It is directed by Angel Manuel Soto, produced by John Rickard and Zev Foreman and Walter Hamada, Galen Vaisman and Garnett Grant as executive producers.

‘Blue Beetle’ premieres in international theatre beginning of August and in North America on August 18, 2023.
