4 Internet Fraudsters Jailed In Edo 

... Forfeits Over N5million, Car to Federal Govt

The Benin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned four internet fraudsters on charges bordering possession of fraudulent documents, personation and intent to defraud.

In a statement issued on Sunday via its official Twitter handle, the commission disclosed that Justice Efe Ikponmwonba of Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City on Thursday, May 4, 2023, convicted and sentenced four men to jail for fraud.

 

Those convicted are Edemakhiota Osaretin, Ehiaguina Joel, Desmond Ekhator Osarumwense and Jonathan Ibhazeh (aka Ehis Samson).

EFCC officials also arrested fourteen suspected internet fraudsters on Friday during a sting operation at Rumuekini axis of Port Harcourt.

 

The suspects are Okoro Ansalem, Gift Mylius, John Lucky, Sadiq Shaibu, Sadiq Fahid, Benjamin Nnaji, Bestman Daniel, Golden Emmanuel, Dike Collins, David Nnaji, Oscar Mathew, Ofe Goodness Okoro Gift and Isaac Abraham Jombo.

 

They were arrested alongside three cars, Laptops, mobile and electronic devices and will be subsequently charged to court.
