Zango Kataf Traditional Leader Laments Renewed Attacks, Killings

A traditional leader in Runji Community of Zango Kataf local government area (LGA) of Kaduna State,  Mr Koniyan Ben, has lamented the continued attacks and killings in the area.

The traditional leader who spoke to LEADERSHIP said the attackers invaded the community again at 2pm on Tuesday and started firing shots using sophisticated guns including a revolver machine gun which scared away all the people in the community.

According to him, Danladi Markus Duduk whose residence is close to the Anglican Church in the community was killed during the attack.

He said the attack took only a few minutes after which the assailants rushed back towards the direction of Zango Urban to escape.

He narrated that it was after they ran away that the community members went to the cluster where the attack occurred and found the dead body of Danladi Duduk lying in cold blood by a shade near his house.

It would be recalled that the Runji community is where 33 people were confirmed killed and about 40 houses burnt two weeks ago.
