Nigeria-based Mobile App, GAB Taxi has commenced operation in Nigerian cities with a promise of safer, cheap and reliable transport system to its passengers. With that, GAB Taxi boasts to rival existing platforms in Nigeria.

The application is already in operation in Canada, Cape Verde and Guinea Bissau and already on Play Store and App Store for its users.

“Gab offers a unique set of features and benefits for both passengers and drivers. With a focus on affordability, safety, a field user interface, an Incentive system for drivers with higher rankings, a proximity alert feature, a variety of vehicle services, and a higher percentage split for drivers, GAB is poised to become a major hailing service provider in Nigeria and Africa at large,” Mr Egbuchulam said while addressing journalists at a pre-launch media briefing in Abuja.

According to Egbuchulam, GAB works with security agencies to reduce the risks facing drivers and passenger and vets drivers and passengers for safety purposes, with local office and customer service lines open day and night.

GAB assists drivers to renew their car documents earlier to avold disconnect fron, platform.

“This is to say something good can come out of Nigeria,” he said, adding that there is 15 percent commission for drivers under the transport platform while will translate to low fare for passengers.

According to Mr Egbuchulam who said the GBA Taxi was designed as an indigenous ride-hailing company to provide affordable, safe and cheap service to its users, with “protecting the passengers and drivers as part of our embedded security measures.”

Egbuchulam told journalists that driver will now have access to a steady stream of passengers and opportunities to eam money.

“The app only makes available to the drivers customers in their geographical area to prevent long pick up hours for drivers thereby causing them to loose. This Is because we care about our drivers as much as we care about our customers,

“Opportunity to be enrolled on our drivers’ group life insurance policy.
