The Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari, for re-appointing retired Major-General Tariye Barry Ndiomu as the interim administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP).

MOSIEND president, Kennedy West, who disclosed this in a chat with newsmen in Port Harcourt, also commended the National Security Adviser, retired Major-General Babagana Monguno, for recommending Ndiomu for reappointment.

West expressed the hope that the second coming of the interim administrator would be more beneficial to both the federal government and all the critical stakeholders.

He said Ndiomu had saved billions of Naira for the government through his prudent efforts at tackling anomalies in PAP in six months in office as interim administrator.

The MOSIEND leader said the PAP helmsman also stopped the issue of shortchanging beneficiaries of the programme of their monthly stipends during his short reign as administrator.

West said, “One major milestone of the administrator is the partnership with pan Niger Delta group, MOSIEND by carrying out advocacy campaign on illegal oil thefts, pipeline vandalism, act of kidnapping and oil bunkered in the region.

“There is now a new reorientation and a paradigm shift in the system thereby ending all manners of vices and criminality in the region.”

He appealed to all actors and critical stakeholders in the region to support the PAP interim administrator and give him a chance to succeed, noting that his success would bring peace and even development in the region and Nigeria at large.
