Uba Sani spoke on Saturday after the ourgoing Governor El-Rufai handed over the report of the Transition Committee to him at Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House in Kaduna.
While commending the outgoing governor, he said he would study the report and implement its recommendations.
“I would like to thank my leader and mentor, Governor Nasir el-Rufai. Together with him we selected a team that produced the transition committee report. I will study the report and we will implement most of the recommendations. In 2015, we never had this opportunity. We will complete all the things Governor Nasir El-Rufai started and we will work on other new areas too.”
Earlier, the outgoing governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the 2023 Transition Committee Report to the governor-elect, Senator Uba Sani.
Speaking during the presentation of the report, El-Rufai, who commended the Transition Committee, said the report will serve as a blueprint and guide to the incoming administration of his successor.
El-Rufai noted that in 2015 after he defeated his opponent and won the governorship election, there was no transition report as his team developed its own transition report which he implemented.
The governor said: “I thank the transition committee for their thorough work. We were not fortunate in 2015, we produced our transition report after winning election which served as a blueprint. My second duty is to handover the copy of transition committee report to governor-elect and the deputy governor.
“Our 2015 Transition Committee report served my administration as a blueprint and I hope this report will serve as a blueprint to the administration of the governor-elect.”
Also speaking, Secretary to the Kaduna State government, who was the chairman of the 2023 Transition Committee, Alhaji Balarabe Abbas Lawal, said the report will assist the incoming administration of Senator Uba Sani to take Kaduna State to the next level of development.
