Gov Makinde, Deputy Take Oath Of Office Amid Tight Security

Re-elected Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, and his deputy, Barrister Abdulrahman Adebayo Lawal, were on Monday, sworn-in amid tight security in Ibadan, the State capital.

There was presence of security operatives in strategic locations in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The security operatives were seen in places like Sango, Roundabout, Mokola and Dugbe, Oke Ado, Liberty Road and other areas of the ancient city.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium located in Oke-Ado area of Ibadan at about 10:50am.

The Chief Judge of the State, Justice Iyabo Yerima, administrated the oath of office on the duo respectively.
