A one-time All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Bauchi State, Alhaji Sani Alameen Muhammad has advised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to investigate the killings during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari to ascertain the number of Nigerians killed and pay compensation in the interest of justice and fairness.

Alameen, who gave the advice during an interactive session with reporters in Bauchi, said the shedding of the blood of innocent Nigerians is a major crime against humanity that must be stopped and probed.

He said most of the senseless killings, banditry, insurgency and other forms of insecurity were masterminded by self-centred people in the country, adding that there were also issues of overzealousness and selfish interest of the security apparatus at the helm of affairs of the government.

Alameen who was a one-time national leader of the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD) condemned the action of the immediate past Kaduna State governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai and former chief of army staff, General Tukur Buratai (rtd), who disrespected court orders.

“Tinubu should do all he can to ensure that he obeys court orders and probe governors and security agencies who refuse to respect the rule of law in order to compel them to do so as well as bring them to justice where necessary in the interest of the country,” he said.

“Our president should check and address the rising cost of inflation, high debt profile, devaluation of the Naira which has triggered these actions, that has worsened the living standard of the common man. The N77 trillion debt profile left by the former president, was allegedly diverted to private pockets, therefore Tinubu should recover the money diverted and rebuild Nigeria with the money,” he said.

Al’ameen who was also a former deputy coordinator North East Grassroots Mobilisation Campaign Council for Tinubu Kashim Campaign Organisation warned Tinubu to be wary of cabals during Buhari’s administration who want to get juicy appointments under his administration, adding that they contributed to the problems of the past administration that made Buhari not to succeed.

The APC stalwart advised Tinubu not to rely on party stakeholders when giving appointments instead he should do his best and dialogue with stakeholders in order to get the best hands and technocrats that will add value to the administration.

According to him, “Tinubu should take the bull by the horn to ease the way of doing business in Nigeria. He should address the issue of power supply, rehabilitate all the refineries within the first year of his administration and ensure that Nigerians produced quality products in the market like foreign products not substandard products.”

He said President Tinubu should give priority to mechanised agriculture in order to create more employment opportunities, wealth and fight poverty and hunger.

The APC chieftain said that the president should declare state of emergency in the education sector, as everything is in shambles due to incompetence of the immediate past minister of education, Mallam Adamu Adamu who testified with his mouth that he failed to deliver, adding that the former minister of education said he does not know anything about education before he was appointed as minister in the ministry.
