Hackathon Africa, in collaboration with Africa BIoT Labs and supported by Internet Computer (ICP) is thrilled to announce the launch of the Nigerian Campus Tour Initiative-Campus Blockchain Bootcamp and Hackathon.
The innovative programme aims to educate and inspire the next generation of blockchain developers and entrepreneurs across four selected Nigerian universities.
The Nigerian Campus Tour Initiative is a comprehensive programme that spans three phases, offering a unique opportunity for students to delve into the world of blockchain technology, gain practical skills, and explore the potential of decentralized applications.
It is designed to foster creativity, innovation, and collaboration among young talents in the blockchain space.
Phase 1 of the initiative involves a captivating campus tour across universities in Nigeria.
The Hackathon Africa team will visit each campus, spending two to three days engaging with students, conducting informative sessions, and setting the stage for the Hackathon and startup ideation.
This phase aims to build awareness and excitement about blockchain technology, while also encouraging students to participate in the upcoming bootcamp and hackathon.
In Phase 2, participants will embark on a virtual training bootcamp specifically tailored for blockchain developers on Internet Computer (ICP).
This intensive training programme will equip participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to leverage the power of blockchain technology, exploring the capabilities of the Internet Computer platform.
The programme will culminate in Phase 3 with a thrilling hybrid event, bringing together participants, mentors, industry experts, and investors. The hackathon will reach its exciting conclusion, showcasing the innovative solutions developed by the participating teams.
Additionally, a startup pitch session will take place, providing an opportunity for the most promising projects to secure grants and funding to further their development.
