An aspirant for Okpokwu state constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dominic Agbo, has called for support for Governor Alia-led administration as the panacea for underdevelopment.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja yesterday, Agbo described Governor Hycinth Alia as “a leader of high quality, a grassroots mobilizer, a philanthropist, a pacifist and a man for this season that Benue needs.”

He added that as a true man of God, Father Alia has signalled in no uncertain terms that he is deeply committed to the peace, progress and stability of Benue state.

Agbo is convinced that Benue people will certainly enjoy the benefits of democracy under the watch of Father Alia.

Hon Agbo who contested under All Progressives Congress (APC), said his name was unjustifiably removed from the list of contestants two days to the elections, adding that it does not stop him from giving total support to the party.

He said, “I have not stopped supporting APC, even though I went to court to claim my mandate and I didn’t get justice but my joy is that, we won in both the state and federal.

“Elections have come and gone, what is paramount now is peaceful coexistence among the people for any meaningful development.”

“It is too early to criticize the current government and urge people to exercise patience and give Governor Alia absolute support.”
