Many Feared Dead In Delta Boat Mishap

Local divers from different communities yesterday searched for victims of a boat mishap at the Ughoton river in Okpe local government area of Delta State.

An unspecified number of people were reportedly feared dead in mishap at the  weekend.

Sources said the victims were returning from a burial ceremony in Ukpokiti, a riverine community in Warri South local government area when the speed boat rammed into a concrete pillar at the Ughoton Omadino bridge.

Only two persons were said to have survived  as they were able to swim out of the river.
