President of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Dr Aliyu Wamakko, has felicitated with Muslims across the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

Wamakko who stated this while speaking with newsmen yesterday in Abuja urged Muslims to utilise this occasion to pray for a secure and prosperous Nigeria.

He emphasised the importance of offering prayers for national peace, economic development, and the safe return of Nigerian pilgrims from Mecca.

Wamakko said that the task of transforming Nigeria into a great nation necessitates the collective prayers and support of all citizens, regardless of their religious, tribal, or political affiliations.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, the REDAN president reiterated the association’s commitment to delivering quality housing and addressing the housing deficit in the country.

He said REDAN is already collaborating with various organisations, both domestic and international, to ensure affordable and accessible accommodations for all Nigerians across the nation.

Wamakko also appealed to President Bola Tinubu to approve the Bill for an Act establishing the Real Estate Regulatory Council of Nigeria (RECON).

He said once this bill is signed into law, it will promote professionalism in the real estate sector, mitigate building collapses, and alleviate the housing deficit in the country.

Furthermore, the REDAN president advises state and local governments to implement policies and programmes that support their constituents in owning their own homes, thereby enhancing their living conditions.

He reassured the association’s commitment to complementing the efforts of governments at all levels in providing quality and affordable housing to the Nigerian populace.
