The Dramatic Arts Center of Iran (DAC) has opened calls for performances for its 21st International Ritual & Traditional Theatre Festival to hold September 28 to October 3, 2023 in Iran.
Targeted at convening domestic and international performances and researchers, the two-fold event will showcase ritual and traditional performances that reflect the (applicant) countries’ customs and traditions, and the 9thInternational Seminar on Ritual & Traditional performances, with participants researchers to lecture on religious and traditional-ritual performances, interdisciplinary and individual arts.
Deadline for performance submissions is August 30, 2023, while interested professors and artistes for the seminar should forward their articles in a proposal format by September 22, 2023.
Successful performance submissions must include a synopsis of the play in English, accessible link to watch the suggested play, application form, number of troupe members in the performance, background of theatre company and the show’s resume, in addition to, the director and (the) playwright’s CVs and photos.
