Jigawa State governor Malam Umar Namadi has described the establishment of cordial relationship between the executive and legislature as key to sustainable democracy, peace and progress of any society.

The governor made the remarks at the grand occasion organised in honour of the state assembly speaker Hon Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin held in Miga town.

Namadi called on the members of the state House of Assembly to join hands with executive in prioritising the collective interest of the state above any other interest for peace and progress of the state.

He also called on farmers in the state to support his agricultural revolution agenda and other policies designed to improve the state economy.

Governor Namadi stated that as this year’s rainy season farming intensifies there is need for farmers to consult extension workers for advice on any problem they found in their farms, adding that they should also   use modern farming techniques and other available implements to improve their production.

Namadi reiterated the commitment of his government to ensure the supply of fertiliser, chemicals and other modern farm implements to the doorstep of farmers across all the 27 local government areas of the state.
