Kogi Doctors Suspend Strike to Negotiate With Govt

The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), Kogi State Specialist Hospital (KSSH) Lokoja, has suspended its strike action to give room for engagement with the state government.

The association on Friday joined the ongoing nationwide strike  by the National Association of Residents Doctors (NARD) to press demands for welfare.

The association announced the suspension in a communique issued at the end of an emergency executive council meeting held in Lokoja yesterday.

The communique was signed by the president and secretary general, Dr Ameh Friday and Dr Peter Samuel respectively.

According to the communique, the congress observed the commitment of the government to address the Issues raised by the association.
