Meanwhile, head of operation, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ladan Ayuba,  confirmed that all the four warehouses belong to the agency, and were located along Numan road.

“All the four warehouses belonging to NEMA in the state have been vandalised. This is high level of criminality, where food and non-food items were carted away,” he said.

Ayuba said the recently renovated agency’s office was also attacked by the miscreants and that many official documents got missing during the uprising.

The agency’s stores house food and non-food items for IDPs in Malkohi, Fofure and St Theresa camps.

Earlier, the government had declared a 24-hour curfew to restore law and order across the state.

LEADERSHIP reports that, markets and shops were closed down in compliance with the order, even as people were seen trekking to their various destinations.
