QIIN To Hold the Quality 4.5 Summit November 8

The Quality Improvement Institute of Nigeria (QIIN), a non-profit institution, in collaboration with quality stakeholders in Nigeria, is set to hold its Quality 4.5 Summit on November 8, 2023.

The QIIN Quality 4.5 Summit, with the theme ‘Quality Management for Business Growth, Competitiveness, and Consumer Satisfaction, is to strengthen quality management practices across product and service organizations in Nigeria.

According to the organizers, their goal is to create a platform that fast-tracks organizations to meet the new paradigm in quality management (Quality 4.5), ensuring that Nigeria is at the forefront of global advancements in quality management.

The institute mainly focuses on bridging the gap between consumers and organizations through quality-focused activities. It also upholds the quality traditions of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and is integrating other relevant international and national standards into her certification courses, programs, information dissemination events, and development of quality improvement tools.

The summit, which will be held virtually via Zoom, will host business owners, heads of organizations, government officials, non-governmental organizations, and members of civil society.

Others expected to attend include quality management stakeholders, government regulators, consumer rights advocates, certification and accreditation bodies, educational institutions, quality professionals, auditors and officers of quality, customer experience managers, administrators, human resources, researchers, students, and quality enthusiasts, among others.

The Scientific Committee of the Summit has also invited authors to submit their research abstracts for poster presentation.

The organizers said at the summit, SERVICOM is expected to deliver a paper on ‘Empowering a Nation with Quality Public Services: Unveiling SERVICOM’s Endeavors in Revolutionizing Citizens Satisfaction and Sustainable Development.”

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) will also make a presentation on ‘Quality and safety are your rights: FCCPC’s role in empowering consumers to #DemandandInsist on excellence in a vibrant and competitive Nigerian market’, the Standards Organisation of Nigeria’s (SON) presentation is on ‘Navigating the future of standards: The integral role of SON in fostering innovation, excellence and consumer confidence through dynamic standardization and certification,’ while the Nigeria National Accreditation System (NiNAS) will focus on ‘Empowering business excellence through international accreditation: The pivotal role of NiNAS in streamlining conformity assessments for sustainable growth and consumer trust.’
