He said Nigerians deserve better governance.

The former governor of Anambra State stated this yesterday in Lagos when the national chairman of LP, Comrade Julius Abure, inaugurated the party’s caretaker committee for the 20 local government areas in Lagos State.

He said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) had compromised the country’s security apparatus and mismanaged economy.

Obi said the President Bola Tinubu administration had done very little to ameliorate the sufferings of the Nigerian masses.

“Nigerians deserve better than what they are currently getting from the government. Their lots have not been well catered for by the current government but I say hope is on the way.

“We have a situation where all the economic indices are going in the negative direction, “ he said.

Inaugurating the 16-member executive committee for each council area in Lagos, Abure expressed confidence that the party would be victorious at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal

Abure, who was also in company of the party stalwart , Prof. Pat Utomi, said the 2023 general election was “a struggle to liberate Nigeria.”

The chairman decried the current economic hardship resulting from the fuel subsidy removal and the spate of killings in some parts of the country, especially Plateau.

He said the LP’s participation in the 2023 general election has changed the political landscape in Nigeria.
