A civil society organisation, Foundation for Justice Peace Development-KSF, has urged President Bola Tinubu to stand firm for the unity, peace and development of Nigeria, and Nigerians should encourage him.
President of the foundation, Kwamkur Samuel Vondip who spoke yesterday at a press briefing in Abuja said some members, associates or financiers of fanatical religious groups are in the habit of keeping records of all appointments into sensitive positions in the nation and states and find it convenient to resist and find fault against appointments and positioning that do not favor their ill agenda.
Vondip who was the national director, Legal and Public Affairs of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), expressed concern about politicians sharing extremist ideologies and doing image laundering for rejected personalities on pages of papers and social media, without providing convincing answers to security reports, complaints, protests and cries of most people.
“While we sacrifice time, energy and resources to work for peace and progress of the nation, the evil ones sacrifice time, energy and resources to promote hate, intolerance, and division of the nation, yet they are more vocal, protected, popular and acceptable in some quarters.
“While people with similar ideologies are languishing in detention and others on wanted list, they move freely and are pampered to cooperate, giving true meaning to the definition of law as an ass, idiot and cobweb.
“Image laundering and money laundering are the same. Laundering can only be done on a dirty personality or material. Security agencies must be commended and encouraged to withstand political and myopic sentimental storms at all times,” he said.
The group prayed that God should expose the enemies of Nigeria in leadership, clothes in religion, political and regional sentiments.
