Rangers International have secured the  services of former captain of Abia Warriors, Kalu Nweke and erstwhile Rivers United striker, Malachi Ohawume as the team continued to strengthen their squad ahead of upcoming Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Both players put pen to paper for a two-year deal that will last till the 2024/2025 season and subject to renewal respectively.

Administrative secretary of the club, Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua,, described the acquisition of the two players as a sign of good things to come in the soon-to-start NPFL season, saying the technical adviser made a request to have the duo in his squad for new football season.

“We have successfully gotten the signatures of the duo of midfielder, Kalu Nweke from Abia Warriors, and center-forward, Malachi Ohawume from Rivers United. Both players signed the dotted lines for us to play for Rangers in the next two seasons. It is management’s belief that they are coming with a wealth of experience to help us challenge for a top finish in the 2023/2024 football season,” stated the astute administrator.

The technical adviser of clubs Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu, said the arrival of the two players as great, stressing, “With the coming of Nweke and Ohawume to join forces with other quality legs already on the ground, I am sure, we are steadily getting the right mix for a successful season.”
