The suspension was lifted after a brief meeting at the Olubadan palace between Oladoja and some members of the Olubadan-in-Council.

Oladoja was suspended following a controversial land dispute in Akinsola village after he clamped down on residents of the community, claiming he had court judgments to prove the land on which they built their houses was not legally sold to them.

Over 200 houses in the community were put under lock and key and red- marked to prove he was in charge.

The action threw residents out of their houses, leaving some of them to sleep in the open throughout the night following which they protested to the Olubadan Palace.

But Oladoja apologised over the incident and promised to resolve the issue amicably with the affected residents.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting, Oladoja thanked family and friends for standing with him during the trial, adding that he would continue to uphold the peace and tranguity of Ibadanland.

He however said his loyalty to Olubadan remained unshakeable, saying he was committed to the progress and development of Ibadanland and Oyo State in general.
