National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party and governorship candidate of the party in the November governorship election in Imo State, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, has said Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma, has lost grip of governance and cannot get popular support  through threats.

This was contained in a statement signed by  the director, media and publicity, Sam-Jones Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Ikenna Onuoha, made available to LEADERSHIP in Owerri.

He said Uzodinma was in disarray, confused and had resorted to shadow chasing simply because Imo people had unanimously rejected him and his government.

He added that the governor cannot get the support of the people by threatening them.

Ikenna said in Imo State, no community, local government area or zone is taking the APC government seriously.

“Since the rejection became intense, Uzodinma is threatening and forcing Imo people to be loyal to him by illegally arresting innocent people.

“A few days ago, in a display of crude immorality, traditional rulers of Orlu zone extraction who are reportedly under trial were induced by Uzodinma to pour libation against any Orlu person that will vote against the APC administration in the state. This is on the heels of mourning, agony and regrets of Orlu people whose children, brothers, sisters and relatives were murdered in cold blood with their buildings utterly razed by suspected government agents,” he said.
