Tems Bags ELLE Style, BMI R&B, Hip Hop Award

Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, aka Tems, bagged two awards recently.

They singer was awarded the Trailblazer Award at the ELLE Style Awards in London, UK, and the Songwriter of the Year at the 2023 BMI R&B/Hip Hop Awards held at the LIV Nightclub in Miami Beach, both on September 6, 2023.

She was recognized for her songwriting credits on Free Mind, Rihanna’sLift Me Up and, Future and Drake’s Wait For You.

On ground to receive her ELLE Style award, presented by BAFTA-winning actress Naomi Ackie and BBC Rdio 1’s Presenter, Julie Adenuga, the Essence crooner attributed the win to her upbringing in Lagos, Nigeria, and her faith.
