Governor Idris,  Others Attend  Sheik Argungu’s Funeral Prayer

Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris,  national chairman, Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa’iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheik Abdullahi Bala-Lau, Sen. Aliyu Magatakadda Wamako and other personalities yesterday attended the funeral prayer of late Sheik Abubakar Giro Argungu.

Sheik Abdullahi Bala-Lau led the funeral prayer in Argungu town of Kebbi State with many other distinguished Nigerians in attendance.

He prayed God to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant him Jannatul Firdaus.

Speaking to journalists after the funeral, Governor Idris appealed to his immediate family members, people of Argungu, Kebbi and the entire Muslim Ummah to take heart and accept the will of God in good faith.

He described the deceased as a humble, honest and religious person who stood firm in promoting Islam.

Idris observed that JIBWIS and the Muslim community would never forget the active contributions of the deceased towards the propagation of Islam in Nigeria and beyond.

The funeral prayer and final internment were conducted at about 2:30 to 3:00p.m.
