The Yobe State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) chairman, Dr the postponement of party primaries for the conduct of local government elections in the state. 

Leadership Weekend gathered that in a letter with reference number YB/SIEC/GEN/VOL dated 14th September, 2023 signed by the commission’s executive chairman Dr. Mamman Mohammed and addressed to all political parties in the state titled ‘Reschedule of Party   for 15th September, 2023 announced the postponement.
