The world 100m hurdle record holder won the Diamond League title with a time of 12.33s.

Undeterred Amusan bounced back after she was dethroned as the world women’s 100m hurdles champion by Jamaica’s Danielle Williams at the 19th World Championships in Budapest, Hungary in August. She finished sixth at the World Championship, but bounce back at her best in the Diamond League.

The Sunday night feat with a time of 12.33s, has put her doubters in their place after losing the world championship. She is now the second woman after Dawn Nelson-Harper to win 100m hurdles titles three times in a row.

She won her first Diamond League title in 2021 in 12.42 seconds and successfully defended it in 2022 with 12.29 seconds in Zurich.

The Sunday night feat confirmed the Nigerian’s determination to rule the global women’s 100m hurdles.
