Parading the suspects, the FCT commandant, Mr. Olusola Odumosu, ordered the head of the anti- vandal and intelligence units to within the 48 hours deploy both intelligence and patrols across the nation’s capital to ensure that all items looted by hoodlums are recovered and the perpetrators are arrested.

Odumosu said the corps arrested two persons at Pai in Kwali Area Council of the territory for being in possession of 16 cans of petroleum products suspected to be stolen crude oil and two other persons suspected to have vandalised the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) armoured cables at the premises of the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

He said investigation was in progress to ascertain the source of the products and possibly identify their sponsors.

The commandant further tasked vandals to leave the FCT or face arrest and prosecution, adding that the machinery had been put in place to fish them out and deal with them as economic saboteurs.
