Nigerian Christian pilgrims have been urged to pray for Nigeria’s progress and development as they perform this year’s pilgrimage in the Holy Land.

Acting director of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board (CPWB), Mrs. Rahila Baita, made the call while addressing the fourth batch of the FCT pilgrims at Mount Nebo in Jordan on Saturday.

Baita, in a press statement issued signed by Pam Ayuba, said there’s hope for the country, stressing the importance of this year’s pilgrimage as a veritable tool in national integration and cohesion despite the challenges bedeviling the country.

According to the statement, the exercise being put together by the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) under the leadership of Dr Yakubu Pam, was the fourth in the series of Christian pilgrimages to Jordan.

The Christian pilgrims from FCT, Lagos, Imo, Bayelsa and Rivers States, who are participating in the pilgrimage to the Holy land of Jordan, visited the two major biblical sites on Saturday in continuation of their spiritual exercise.
