JUST-IN: Gunmen Kidnap Benue Information Commissioner

Unknown gunmen have abducted the Benue State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism Matthew Abo.

The incident happened at about 8pm on Sunday at his residence in Zaki-Biam.

An eyewitness, who did not want his name mentioned, said the gunmen came on four motorcycles and kidnapped Abo to an unknown destination.

He said the abductors compelled the Commissioner at gunpoint to sit behind the rider of one of the motorcycles while a gunman sandwitched him.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the abductors later communicated to a family member and promised to call back but were yet call as at this Monday morning.

Also, the Benue State Government was yet to react to the incident as at the time of this report.
