Nigeria @ 63: Rivers East Senator Onyesoh Tasks Nigerians On Peace, Unity

In commemoration of Nigeria’s 63rd independence anniversary on Sunday, October 1, the Senator representing Rivers East senatorial district of Rivers State, Senator Allwell Heacho Onyesoh, has congratulated Nigerians even as he called for unity, love and peaceful co-existence.

The Senator, in a press statement signed by his Media Officer, Oriri Peter, underscored the importance of unity as a beacon of hope for the nation.

While also acknowledging the challenges faced by the country over the years, he reassured Nigerians, especially the people of Rivers East of a better future.

Reflecting on Nigeria’s progress in economy, technology, education, music and sports, Onyesoh highlighted the resilience of Nigerians towards nation building.

 

He said; “The Senate Standing Committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs, under my stewardship, through the support of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), and the Senate President Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio (CON), will ensure unity, fairness, and equity in government policies and administrations.”

He urged the citizens to embrace diversity as a source of strength and collaborate towards a brighter future for generations yet unborn.
