The 130 women benefitted from the free skills acquisition programme on catering, tailoring among others.

At the closing ceremony, the director of youth empowerment initiative, Adekunle Alebiosu said that the main purpose of this training is to eradicate poverty among our women.

He said that we want to make sure we give them what they need. A lot of things are happening in Nigeria today because of fuel subsidy removal, so we need to give them hope for the Asiwaju agenda.

“What we are trying to achieve in this programme is to make it known to the government, so that they can initiate this programme into their own agenda.

“We have already empowered 130 students in catering and many other things,” he said.
