She won‘t disappoint us. She is very committed, very honest, upright  and very passionate about her job,” he said.

On experience, Shettima said Anas has garnered a wealth of experience and exposure in Egypt, in Somalia, so when I look at her rich resumé. I feel compelled that this is the lady who should drive the process of change in the health sector in Borno and she did wonderfully well.

In her remarks, Anas noted that president Tinubu was passionate about the health of women and children, and that he was doing all he can to ensure health gets to them.

She also called for support to ensure the success of the  “Renewed Hope” agenda of the president.

On his part, the coordinator, Africa Health Budget Network (AHBN), Aminu Magashi, urged Anas to use her office to strengthen health security agenda in the country.

He called on the president through the office of the SA, Health, for the funding and implementation of the action plan for National Health Security which is in the process of being finalised.
