Maria Ude Nwachi, a former member of Ebonyi State House of Assembly and former technical assistant on New Media, specifically Facebook to immediate past vice president Yemi Osinbajo has won the Pulse Africa Facebook Influencer of the Year Award.

She was nominated along with MC Mbakara and others.

Nwachi grabbed the highest number of votes, joining the list of total number of 21 awardees.

At the award ceremony, she was unavoidably absent and picked her plaque through a representative.

With the theme “The Golden Era – Bold & Elegant”, the Tivoli Garden in Ikoyi, Lagos played host to the influencer industry for the awards’ third edition on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

It took place simultaneously in all Pulse Africa markets in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, Uganda, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Organisers say the Pulse Influencer Awards is dedicated to celebrating the digital creativity, innovation, and community-building efforts of influencers.

Former Big Brother Naija housemates, Bella Okagbue and Tacha Akide, and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, were also awarded at the 2023 edition of the Pulse Influencer Awards.

Maria Ude Nwachi wields humongous influence on Facebook where she founded several groups on Facebook with active followership. They include Igboist by Maria Ude Nwachi, Maria Ude Nwachi and Friends, Maria Ude Nwachi and Friends League, Igboist and Friends Extra among others.

With over half a million followers, she is popular for offering empowerment to her followers as well as hosting regular ggiveaways to celebrate them for their support and engagement.
