Two siblings – Musa Idris and Aliyu Idris have been arraigned before an Ilorin Magistrate’s court for allegedly killing their uncle, Muhammed Abubakar.

The suspects were arraigned for the offences of culpable homicide and criminal conspiracy which contravened sections 97 and 221 of the penal code.

The Police First Information Report (FIR), stated that the suspects criminally conspired to attack their uncle and macheted him to death in Kaiama, the headquarters of Kaiama local government area of Kwara State.

“Investigation conducted at SCID, Ilorin, revealed that the suspects wanted to attack their father over a little misunderstanding which led to the intervention of the uncle.

“The father took his cow for grazing and returned late only to discover that his children had macheted his younger brother to death.

“The suspects confessed to the crime that they were not happy with their uncle for not allowing them to attack their father which made them kill him”, the FIR added.

Prosecutor Gbenga Ayeni handled the case on behalf of the police.
