The senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly (NASS), Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli has warned residents of the state to be wary of fraudsters going about collecting money for distribution and collection of palliative.

The lawmaker urged the public to be cautious when transacting business with certain individuals claiming to distribute palliatives on his behalf.

“We would like to issue a disclaimer regarding the fraudulent activities of one Alhaji. It has come to our attention that he has been deceiving people by claiming that he would provide them with palliatives from Senator Sharafadeen Alli (APC-Oyo South) if they pay him money.

“We want to inform the general public that Sen. Sharafadeen Alli has not sent anyone to distribute palliatives on his behalf. He will never demand money from anyone in exchange for providing palliatives.

“We want to emphasise that we do not condone any form of fraudulent activities, and we will not hesitate to take legal action against individuals found engaging in such activities”, he said.

According to him, it has been reported that he collected N70,000 from the Bode Alagbo market in Ibadan under false pretenses.
