The governor while flagging off the daily flight operations at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi on Tuesday, emphasised the state government’s commitment to ensure ease of business, security and safe movement of people and goods within Bauchi State.

“Our government has invested heavily in road networks, but we recognise that air travel is equally essential. Bauchi State International Airport, also known as Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport, serves not only Bauchi, but also neighbouring states of Yobe, Jigawa, Gombe and Adamawa,” he stated.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Value Jet Airline for choosing Bauchi as one of its destinations, saying the decision was a testimony to the immense potential and opportunities that the state offer.

Senator Mohammed assured the Value Jet Airline to “Be assured that Bauchi State Government stands firmly behind you, and we are committed to ensuring the profitability and smooth operations of your airline in our state.”

Mohammed reiterated the state government’s unwavering commitment to promoting ease of doing business and ensuring the safety of passengers, stressing that under his leadership, Bauchi is open to doing business with the world.

“A well- functioning airport is vital for harnessing the tourist and investment opportunities in Bauchi state and the Northern part of the country.

“We are well aware of the challenges facing the aviation industry, and we pledge to do everything in our power to make your business in Bauchi State not only profitable but also an opportunity to expand and thrive.

“To the airlines operating on this route, I call upon you to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, punctuality, and consistency. Building trust and confidence among passengers is essential for the success of your operations,” the governor added.

Earlier, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Value Jet Airline, Captain Dapo Majekodunmi, assured of better services to the passengers in line with the partnership with the state government.
