Police Arrest Woman For Pouring Hot Water On Husband

Operatives of the Rivers State Police Command, has arrested a woman, Godslove Olakada, for pouring hot water on her husband, Olakada Ejire, over domestic family issues.

LEADERSHIP observed that the arrest came less than 72 hours after the command paraded another woman, Favour Nwokoro, for pouring hot vegetable oil on husband, Ekelediri Nwokoro, at Igwurita, Port Harcourt, over the same family issues.

The Police public relations officer (PPRO), in the state, Grace Iringe-Koko, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt yesterday, said the recent incident happened at Agbonchia community in Eleme local government area of the state.

Iringe-Koko stated that investigation has already been launched to get to the root of the matter.

She said, “The Rivers State Police command’s operatives, through credible intelligence, have arrested one Godslove Olakada ‘female,’ from Agbonchia Eleme on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at about 8:30pm for pouring hot water on her husband, one Olakada Ejire.

“He was rushed to Famo Hospital at Aleto Eleme for treatment. The cause was domestic family issues.

An investigation has commenced to get to the root of the matter.
