The Imo State Government has revoked over 200 properties allegedly misappropriated by the former Governor Rochas Okorocha-led administration in the State.

Briefing journalists in her office, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Networking, Chantel Adanna Onwuzuruike, stressed that the recovery and restoration of the properties represented one of the achievements of the Governor Hope Uzodimma-led administration.

According to her, among the recovered properties, which are of paramount importance to the State government, was that of the Kinsley Ozumba Mbadiwe University, Ogboko, in Ideato South LGA of the State.

She said that the university, which was built with over N40billion of state funds, was allegedly misappropriated by the former governor of the state, adding that the administration also recovered a number of markets, which were built with state funds in various parts of the state, but were handed over to the cronies of the immediate-past administration.

On road rehabilitation, she pointed out that the Governor has revolutionalise road construction, which can be grouped into three, namely; urban/city renewal roads, economically important roads and the inter-city roads.
