Why Deal With This??

I asked if he knew it was illegal, responded, “Yes, but wetin we go do?” He concluded in broken English. “If I no pay am he go cause wahala for me.” Why is trying to make a living in this country so excruciating for the average man? I understood what he was saying but why did he have to deal with it? Just because he is looking for passengers he has to pay both legally and illegally??

Government should look into this and have just one authority to collect tax where taxis are concerned. Having so many sub groups is not only confusing but frustrating and makes these people prone to harassment even when they are doing the right thing.

Just imagine someone you don’t know from Adam jumping into your car because you parked wrongly?? Why not have a uniformed policeman stand guard? This will prevent the regular defaulters. Kai, we have a long way to go, I thought as I finally got home.
