The cheques were presented at the police command headquarters in Gwadangaji in Birnin Kebbi metropolis to the beneficiaries.

Wane charged them not to use the money for the benefit of the families left behind by the officers

He said the gesture is part of the IGP’s efforts to sympathise  with the families of the deceased and also to upkeep their  day- to-day life challenges.

The CP however prayed for the gentle souls of the deceased officers to have an eternal rest and give their families fortitude to bear the loss.
