Members of Corps De Progressives in Nigeria have urged Senator Natasha Hadiza Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial district, to throw her weight behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Usman Ododo, in the spirit of Ebiraland.

The president of the group, Comrade Yunusa Jimoh, in a statement, said  Natasha’s victory is clear evidence of acceptability and trust she enjoys from the people.

The statement noted that Akpoti won her election due to her commitment to the district, appealing to her to let go of the past and focus on what will benefit the people of the central.

“In the spirit of unity and reconciliation, the group extends an olive branch to Senator Akpoti, acknowledging that her success was due to her perceived commitment to the development of Ebiraland.

“We urge her to set aside past disagreements and focus on the common ground that unites the people,” the statement said.

Comrade Yunusa Jimoh also said politicians should thread the path of the people they represent, noting that Ebira people are united in  support for Ododo in the next Saturday election.

“We appeal to Senator Akpoti to support the interest of her people and work towards peace and unity in the area.

“There’s a need for collaborative leadership to achieve good governance and quality representation. They call for a renewed commitment to working together for the betterment of Ebiraland and Kogi State as a whole,” he said.
