Niger State commissioner of basic and secondary education, Dr. Hadiza Asabe Mohammed, has said the government will conduct competence test for public school principals and head teachers to change the narratives of educational development in the state.
She stated this in Bida yesterday during an interactive session with all the public schools’ principals and head teachers in Niger South Senatorial District.
Mohammed announced that very soon a competency examination will be conducted for all principals, head teachers and other teachers to sanitise the education system.
He said the move will pave the way for recruitment of professional teachers to cater for the shortage in schools while charging them to be proactive and disciplined in managing the activities of their various schools.
The commissioner said the interaction was to intimate the school managers on the yearnings and aspirations of the government of Umaru Mohammad Bago to change the narratives in the Education sector.
