She stated this at the Annual Library Week 2023 organised by the Niger State chapter of association at Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, yesterday.

The NLA chairperson said staff members of the library had been operating under horrible conditions including working under the trees due to the presence of reptiles in the complex.

Also, the director-general of the Niger State Students Affairs, Comrade Bello Sheriff said the library was  inhabitable, saying that it had become a zoo occupied by reptiles.

Sheriff said that he is saddened by the condition of the abandoned library house, adding that, “ this is due to years of neglect by past administration “He however said there is good news coming soon about the place, explaining that the new administration of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has decided to give deserved attention to the library and other issues concerning students in the state.
