The JAD Group and its Managing Director have dissociated themselves from a protest carried out by certain individuals against Chevron Nigeria Limited on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, denying the sponsorship of the action or meddling in the internal affairs of host communities in Delta State.

The Management of JAD Group and its Managing Director categorically disassociated themselves from the false claims made against them by one Barrister Oboroegbeyi in a media report.

In a statement signed by the Administrative Manager of JAD Group, Justice Mokwenye, a copy of which was sent to LEADERSHIP, the firm said: “JAD Group and its Managing Director wish to place on record that they perform their Corporate Social Responsibilities towards all the Communities they operate especially towards the good people of Ugborodo and the Itsekiri Kingdom in general and always adhering to both internal policies and those of our esteemed clients.

“The Management of JAD Group and its Managing Director are at a loss as to why some people derive satisfaction in dragging the Jad Group and its Managing Director to the internal affairs of Ugborodo Community.

“The point must be made that the Management of JAD Group and its Managing Director have no business with the internal administration of Communities but deal with recognized leadership in all the Communities they operate, Ugborodo inclusive.

“The said publication is nothing but an unwarranted attack on the person of the Managing Director and aimed at smearing the hard-earned good corporate image of JAD Group.

“We reserve the right to take appropriate legal action against any individual or entity involved in the dissemination of false and defamatory information that undermines the reputation and integrity of the JAD Group and its Managing Director.”
