Foundation Asks Religious, Traditional Leaders To Unite Against Gender Based Violence

A non governmental organisation the Ina Omakwa Foundation has called on religious and traditional leaders to join the fight against human trafficking and gender based violence.

The foundation made the call during sensitisation campaign at Anglican Girls Grammar School in Abuja.

The organisation highlighted vital signals of human trafficking syndicates the young girls must look out for and try to avoid.

The awareness campaign was organised in commemoration of the international day for eliminating of violence against women with the theme: “Speak Up To End Trafficking” at the Anglican Girls Grammar School in Abuja.

The Project coordinator Jeremiah Hussein said the sensitisation is aimed at engaging the school girls in the dissemination of critical information and perspective surrounding the issues.

Hussein therefore, called religious leaders, NGO and the police to come together in order to sensitize Young girls across the country.
