Oyo Police Arrest Officers Caught Demanding Money From Dutch Tourist

The Oyo State Police Command has denounced the behaviour exhibited by officers captured in a viral video demanding money from a Dutch woman travelling on a motorcycle along the Moniya-Iseyin Road.

Terming the incident as “regrettable misconduct,” the command swiftly addressed the issue, ensuring prompt action against those involved.

In a released statement on X, the Oyo police described the actions of the officers as deeply regrettable.

The statement acknowledged the viral video that depicted the officers’ inappropriate behaviour towards the Dutch lady on her way to Abuja. Emphasising the severity of the situation, the statement assured the public that all individuals implicated in the incident had been identified and promptly apprehended.

“All those involved have been apprehended for immediate disciplinary actions,” the statement affirmed.
