Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and a media mogul and philanthropist, Mo Abudu are among very important dignitaries expected to grace the 2023 conference of Women in Successful Careers (WISCAR), the largest gathering of career women in the country.
WISCAR, a not-for-profit organisation committed to advancing professional women in Nigeria and across Africa is set to discuss inclusive governance and promoting sustainable development at its leadership and mentoring conference.
The conference will also feature renowned speakers, policymakers, and thought leaders whose discussions will serve to further the organisation’s commitment to closing the gender gap and empowering the next generation of women for leadership in all spheres.
Commenting on the WISCAR 2023 conference at a press conference, Founder and Chairperson of WISCAR, Amina Oyagbola, said the 13th edition of the annual event, themed “In Her Own Voice: Forging Ahead,” will be held in Lagos.
“WISCAR’s commitment to the mission of ‘Developing Women to Build a Better Nation’ has yielded measurable outcomes and impact over the past fifteen years, showcasing the continuity, consolidation, and strides achieved in pursuit of our goals.
Recognising the importance of developing a generation of women for leadership in a nation with over 100 million women and girls, she emphasised the critical need for collaboration between genders for sustainable development and the growth of a robust and vibrant economy.
